is a European research project
supported by the Leonardo program.
It focuses European development of the cultural sector and
tackles the lack of skills and competences of managers
wishing to lead transnational and co-operation projects.
Vania aims at identifying the training centers active in
cultural co-operation and to determine competences and
skills useful to cultural operators working in this field.
Vania produced :
- a list of skills and competences to be developed by
leaders of cultural co-operation projects ;
- an analysis of innovative methodologic approaches
proposed recently to allow professionals to acquire these
competences ;
- a seminar in collaboration with ENCATC, the European
cultural network of training centers, and professionals in
order to debate on the new stakes regarding cultural
co-operation and to find innovative solutions for the
sector ;
- a certification process in the cultural co-operation
training field.
The Fondation Hicter was the pilot of Vania in partnership with Cupore
(Research center in cultural policies, Helsinki),
International Intelligence on Culture (Independent
research, consultancy, training and policy development
organisation, London) and Evremathia (Vocational
training center, Athens).
